The adventures of Patrick Gorman Jr - A comic book addiction
When deciding what drawings to exhibit I looked at 4 areas of comic book lore; the Superhero, Fantasy, Sex sells and The Man behind the Mask. There will be 10 pieces of work in total.
The process behind each drawing; I start with penciling the whole picture, from there I ink over the pencils using a fine line pen. Once that’s done I erase the old pencil lines. I then color by hand. I finish off by using a heavy ink pen to give the picture its depth and overall look.
When looking at how best to showcase my work and get the best impact from the pictures and color, all pictures are exhibited as large-scale canvas prints 60cmx90cm. Each picture is limited to 4 prints and each print will be signed and numbered. Originals of each drawing are also available; these are drawn on A3 size paper and will be framed
The exhibition will start on Thursday 12th of January and will run until Monday the 5th of March 2012.
